About me
Hello, my name is Daniel, and I would like to welcome you to my web site.
You may know a few creative daydreamers, and I am one of them. I am constantly imagining and daydreaming about creating something new and different when I paint. For me, painting is not simply an outlet, but a passion. Nearly every day I am thinking and re-thinking about what to paint next. I have been painting since 2020 after taking an interest in art during the pandemic.
In the last few years my family and I navigated life as my little girl went through cancer. As she struggled in treatment, I nearly lost my wife to cardiac arrest while our daughter was in the hospital. I personally struggle with multiple sclerosis and battle chronic pain and fatigue. Jesus has carried me through a great deal. The pandemic was just another layer of fear and anxiety and isolation as our world went nuts.
So much like a lot of people, I started focusing on art during the pandemic, and I thought I would give it a try. Needless to say, my first painting almost ended that “artistic” journey of self-discovery, but my family encouraged me to try again.
Three years later and this has become my hobby and passion. Over time, I have discovered many gifted and brilliant artists that have inspired me to keep trying.
So whatever your interest, don’t listen to the voices - especially the internal ones - tell you that you can’t do something. If you have the desire, perhaps God put it there. For me, I know painting is therapy. And even if it stays just a hobby, I’m ok with that. I am grateful God gave me this gift in the midst of the storms of life.
