Description of artwork
“Paradise Inlet" oil painting features a seascape inlet with an ocean tide washing ashore at sunrise. A rocky shoreline and a small boat resting near the water's edge, encourages the viewer to imagine the story in this captivating and colorful painting. Tall evergreen trees and dramatic, colorful clouds add to the peaceful and majestic atmosphere.

The composition itself is reminiscent of the northwest Washington islands. The little boat with a lot of character is added to round out this lovely scene, complete with rocks and pebbles. Much of the painting was completed with a palette knife which just gives a different and unique finish. This painting includes many oil paints that are blended and mixed over canvas. Initially alla prima (wet on wet) but was slowly completed over several days. 16 by 20 inch oil on canvas painting.
