Description of artwork
A stormy scene at sea features a ferry battling large, turbulent waves. The sky is ominously dark with clouds swirling above the ocean. This scene reminds me of the Puget Sound region in Washington State, USA but can resemble many parts of the world. This painting was partly inspired by Buck Paulson, a master artist who is absolutely brilliant. For my painting, I focused on adding a ferry to these gorgeous colors. In the background of the scene a distant town lights up the night and beckons the viewer to their imagination. Port Townsend, Seattle, Whidbey Island. What do you see here?
Inspiration: as an artist who deals with Multiple Sclerosis every day, pain and fatigue are always with me. But God is faithful. I often experience His joy, peace, and presence despite the hardships of life. Paintings allow me to compose and paint with passion, using a variety of palette knives and soft brushes to release the image within. You will love this painting (now available in print for all budgets).
