Description of artwork
A lighthouse stands resolute against a tempestuous sea, with a beam of light piercing through the swirling blues and grays. Seagulls are captured in flight, adding a dynamic element to the maritime scene. The setting is accompanied by the phrase "You are my hiding place..." from Psalm 32:7.
This 16 by 20-inch oval canvas was completed in June of 2022, and significantly adjusted recently with new paints and brush strokes. Prints are now available. Seascapes are one of my favorite scenes to paint and this one was no different. The scene features breaking clouds following a storm and the significance of new hope always just around the corner. The Lighthouse was built on rock, not on sand and has withstood the test. Surrounded by beauty, the seagulls enjoy their morning flight as the sun breaks through the clouds.
