"Carmel Revisited" is a study on one of my favorite artists, Buck Paulson, and features a seascape with magnificent cliffs in the background. Parts of the canvas were primed with darker acrylics and left to dry before oil paints were applied and blended throughout. This gave extra strength in some areas and softer tones in others.
