Makeover and Music

Hello everyone!

I hope you are all doing well. I have been busy over the last few months with doing a major web site makeover. I love to paint as you know but was operating a less than stellar web site to display my work. Recently, I have partnered with a group that allows me to showcase my artwork in room settings, complete with lighting and frames. This led to an update for my web site.

My goal is really very simple: first, that customers can find what they are looking for and shop without any confusion or frustration. Second, that they are continually updated with new offerings, as it is my goal to paint at least once a month. My health sometimes limits when I can paint but once the prints are available online, anyone is able to purchase through my storefront.

If you are looking for wall art, cups, puzzles, or any other metal print or novelty, visit my web site! I have offerings for all budgets, including stickers and ornaments.

Moving on to music, most people don't know that I also play piano by ear and have been doing so since taking an interest in 2014. I have a wonderful friend and former neighbor, whom I call "Pops." Years ago, shortly after I left work due to my Multiple Sclerosis, I started having a strong desire to play piano.

George Winston is one of my favorite pianists, and when I was a kid, I would listen to him often, especially in my melancholy moments :).

Pops heard of my interest in playing piano, and he went and picked up an inexpensive keyboard. I started playing on it immediately. I tried to learn sheet music but due to my MS I am not able to retain it. So, God gave me the ability to play by feel and by ear.

In 2016, my sister Willow placed her piano in our home, which allowed my mother and I to play continually. I play with passion, and often in a style that is like the “alla prima” method of artwork. "A first attempt". I just sit down and explore, and "play to play", out of sheer enjoyment, and sometimes something beautiful comes out. I didn’t learn this until later, but George Winston also plays by ear and by feel! Certainly, I have my own unique style and recently, I have been fortunate to have my music listed on Spotify, apple iTunes, pandora, Alexa, and many other platforms.
